the creative exchange

Ooh, last week before the big day,  and  only a few days before I travel.   When I spoke with my Mum last night I learned that northwest Illinois has snow - at least five inches on the ground!    It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, every where I go...   There's the hustle and bustle around town, evidence of holiday festivities...

He was walking against the light, with a ten pound bag of ice tucked under each arm.

A doorway at Cafe El Sol, United Community Center, Milwaukee.    Sometimes the simplest of decorations are among the finest.

Thanks for looking at my creative endeavors this week.   Head on over and say hello to Lisa at The Creative Exchange where you'll find oodles of fine creative expressions.    Happy Monday everyone.    I hope your coffee/tea is strong, hot, and it doesn't burn your tongue.

The "door way" is more than just a door way! I love everything about it. This is one of those photos that pulls a person in.

How did you know I am in bed with with the laptop and drinking the coffee. Only I DO like mine very hot. Oh how I wish you and I could meet at a coffee shop to chat. You are far, but dear to me. Thanks for your comments, and you are the one that really knows how to read between the lines!

That doorway makes me think of the Light of the World shining out the open doorway of a stable long, long ago. It's a beautiful photograph. Happy Monday to you too, Ms. Becky.

I was telling my wife yesterday how much you are longing for a white Christmas. Well it is sounding like you will be getting what you want even if you have to travel to find it. I like the B&W street shot, something I should do more of myself. Have a great week of last minute madness Becky.

WOW! love the Cafe El Sol photo!!!!
The guy with the ice seem in a bit of a hurry. I would be too if my office party crowd were clamoring for cold drinks!

Both of these are wonderful Becky, but I especially love the doorway. Simple, and simply beautiful.

Thank you so much for sharing at The Creative Exchange this week.

Wonderful photos Becky. I was only in Milwaukee once to visit a friend who lives nearby...the first photo looks familiar to me...I think I recognize the buildings. My memory surprises me sometimes!
