Shadow Shot Sunday

"the range of what we think and do
is limited by what we fail to notice
And because we fail to notice
that we fail to notice
there is little we can do
to change
until we notice
how failing to notice
shapes our thoughts and deeds."

from Bold Spirit - Helga Estby's Forgotten Walk Across Victorian America
Linda Lawrence Hunt

I shot this in early morning, just as the sun was coming over the ridge.    My friend's front door has a decorative grill that  casts a shadow on the curtain.  The dangling diamond towards the top of the photo is a wind chime that hangs just above the door.  In the summertime when the south breezes are stirring, it plays a song all the day long.  Now it's winter and the doors are all closed.   But oh joy! when spring does arrive.  That's the best part of winter - when it's just about to end and the seasons do battle for awhile before Spring becomes the dominant force of nature and declares victory.   That is what makes it all worthwhile.

What a gorgeous shadow shot for the day! It always amazes me that something as solid, hard as iron can make the most delicate, fragile looking shadows! Superb capture! Love it! Have a lovely weekend!

The outdoor shadows mean that there is sun. It may be cold outside, but it feels so warm and inviting inside. Nice!

Very artistic photo. The wind chime gives a nice accent! When I first looked at this photo, I thought it's a playing card (diamond) that the patterns on the other side became translucent!

As for your comment on my post, having a fisheye lens is a lot of fun. It's one of my favorite lens. That tree does look bigger when photographed with fisheye lens.
Sainoko Lake hasn't been dried out yet but probably it will.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Okay, this is one of my favorites so far! Very sharp and interesting. Helga's quote is very good to. So many things, small and large,go unnoticed. Happy SSS to you.

Oh, had to read that quote to my husband, as he is a BIG fail to noticer!!

your introductory words are beautiful, and nicely reflected in the photo. Joining SSS is encouraging me to notice the play of shadows around me more and more.

Whenever I come across kind words of support to those suffering with the recent flooding here, I pass them on. You may never hear personally how touched people are by your thoughts, but it makes a huge difference. thankyou

Thanks so much for sharing that quote. It's wonderful and I'm going to print it and stick it to my little inspiration board.

Your photo is gorgeous. I can imagine how lovely the chime would sound in the summer. The sounds of summer are always nicer than those of winter. Even the noisy chorus of crickets sound good to me :)

Have a great week ahead!

I am the Kika and I am promoting an appeal for assistance for several countries along with my American friend Brian:
We're having an exceptionally cold winter and heavy rain. and some countries like Brazil, Canada, United States and we in the crisis of the country are our friends need us
I remember even taking them all. Please consider helping your local shelter, I promise you'll like it. I know we're all going through a crisis, but they should not pay for the mistakes of humans, if we give everything when we need them, we have an obligation to give them a little, which for them is much. at times like these
We could do a post together on the 24th of this month. What do you think?
Pass the word to your friends, I've been!
If they want to help thanks!

So true, that delicious time in between, winter not quite ready to leave, yet the promise of Spring is ever so close...yes it is filled with anticipation.

I was wandering your photos, you have a keen eye, the lone tree is stunning! We have many Amish here too, making the world seem a little less harsh. Living in the heartland is difficult due to the weather extremes, but the key is to stop and really understand it and see the beauty in every little thing it offers. That is the richness if our world...we're a tough, hardy lot!!!

Have a sunny Sunday neighbor!

The grill makes such a lovely lacy design when the sun shines through the curtain!

Thank you for having responded to my call and I fully agree with you that would make the best sterilization in females, but you know not all countries have opportunities to spend money for that purpose
This is not my blog, my blog's owner, mine is:
kikaesuasideias.blogspot.com
Then I got the call written in English, if you please get me know?
